Our people At Cambridge & District Citizens Advice we rely on a team consisting around 100 experienced volunteers and 20 paid staff. Many of our volunteers have worked with us for a number of years. All volunteers receive training and our advisers train for 18 months. However not all volunteers become advisers. Some become receptionist, administrators, IT or media workers. Our Board of trustees are also volunteers. Together we are able to provide those who live or work in Cambridge City or South Cambridgeshire with vital advice and information services. To find out about staff, trustee or volunteer vacancies click here Chief Executive Officer – Rachel The focus of the post is on the overall and strategic elements of management including forward planning, external relations, ensuring that the Bureaux complies with Citizens Advice aims, policies and quality standards, public accountability, personnel, finance, funding and the raising of resources. Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Sally The key activities of this post are to deputise for the CEO when required. Ensure excellent service delivery putting the client at the heart of everything we do. Enable staff to achieve exceptional quality standards. Oversee all Bureau activities and administration to include information technology, facilities management, health and safety, hospitality. Financial Education Manager –Lorraine Leads the Financial Capability Team who are responsible for all financial capability and money management to individuals and groups. Oversees the Energy Best Deal work and is currently the “Citizens Advice Energy Champion” for the region – supporting other bureaux in their energy work. Advice Session Supervisors – Christiane, Ali, Shelia, David They support the volunteers who deliver advice to clients attending our drop-in sessions or appointments, to clients who ring our advice line and to clients who e-mail us from this website. They aim to ensure that all advice given is to a high standard and best meets the needs of each client. Financial capability Adviser/trainer – Richard Provides a lead on financial capability training to individuals and groups both in bureaux, and with partners. Specialist Money Advice and Welfare Benefits caseworker – Steven Providing debt advice including income maximisation, housing and welfare benefits advice including representation at tribunal and court. Specialist Money Adviser and outreach – Wendy Provides advice, support and education in debt advice and generalist advice services at outreach. Tutor and Training Manager – Alison Provides training, supervision and support to trainee advisers and trainee assessors to enable them to enable them to achieve “Citizens Advice Certificate” level qualification. Facilities and Office Manager – Amanda Manages the operations and functions of the building – including reception - and supports the members of the Advicehub space. Oversees the bookings of the training/meeting room. Debt outreach worker – Nick Provide debt casework including advising clients on complex debt and money problems and maximising income at outreach. Finance and HR Administration – Jane Responsible for maintaining financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services. Projects Administrator and evaluation officer – Aleksandra Provides administrative support to the specialist team and other grant funded projects.- including statistical reports, monitoring and evaluation. IT Field Worker – Andrew Promotes the use of touch screen kiosks by providing technical support and on-going maintenance programme. Generalist Adviser Outreach Workers – Janine, John and Liz Works in partnership with outreach centres providing an generalist advice service including money, benefits, employment, housing and all other areas covered under the generalist heading. Outreach reception – Carey Provides support to the generalist outreach adviser.
